To determine the differences of the information process from other processes, we give the following definitions. Technological process is a sequential change of States, stages of development, a set of actions.
The production process is a set of interrelated operations and transformations of resources aimed at the manufacture of certain products
o automatic processes – all actions are performed without any deviations, in automatic mode;
o chaotic processes – cause-effect relationships are statistical, probabilistic;
o programmable technology – a certain sequence of information processing processes in accordance with a given program;
o vocational technology is a certain sequence
processes of processing of details, products, knots on a certain technological process;
o scientific and technical technology – a certain sequence of processes of processing of technological object (information, details, products, units) according to the set technological process with application of means of intellectual processing of information;
o research technology – the sequence of processing processes of a technological object in accordance with a given technological process is not fully defined, which can vary to obtain the desired result and requires the use of intellectual information processing.
Between these main classes of processes there are a number of intermediate.
Information processes are divided into processes of circulation and processing of information, which, in turn, are divided into processes of collection, transmission, processing, preservation and direction to the user.
It is advisable to consider the cycle – “data – information – knowledge”, clearly delineating the semantics of the components of the cycle and the relationship between them, which allows us to present the General basis of information technology and its essence in various subject areas.
