E-Commerce is divided into several generally recognized categories ( b2b, b2c, c2c, c2b ), each of which in some case has some advantages.
E-Commerce systems open up completely new opportunities for the development and strengthening of existing business, as well as provide rich tools for creating new business in the Internet environment.
There are both ready-made universal e-Commerce systems and certain individual solutions, on the basis of which systems are created that meet the needs of each particular company and its business. E-Commerce systems are distinguished by a variety of features: the level of implementation, directions and scale of implementation, construction technology, etc.
Among the most famous e-Commerce systems is a solution for online stores (e-shops, e-shop). Online stores offer goods to customers, regardless of their location and accept payment in various ways, including through electronic payments.Due to the lack of direct contact between the seller and the buyer, e-Commerce through the online store is associated with a number of risks and problems :
- risk of non-payment;
- risk of leakage of confidential information;
- risk of non-delivery of goods or delivery in improper form.
- Full elimination of such risks is impossible, because they are due to the complexity of the identification of the parties in the transaction, the lack of a culture of electronic Commerce. Therefore, the e-Commerce system should ensure the reduction of such risks to a minimum and maintain the highest safety of transactions.
Thus, it is necessary to have in the e-Commerce system special mechanisms for the identification of participants in the transaction, the use of confidential data in the transmission of secure connections and data encryption.
